TAG Heuer Launches Exclusive Carrera Speed Collection for Goodwood Festival
TAG timekeepers are gearing up for the cutting edge aerodynamics of Formula One arriving to the UK’s Silverstone circuit. TAG Heuer have launched three exclusive Carrera Speed watches at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, opening yesterday in official partnership with TAG. The Festival will run until the first day of July, culminating in the British Formula One Grand Prix at the original home of the festival in Silverstone, Northampton, UK.
The festival has traditionally had current F1 speed jockeys willing to take part on a yearly basis, and they will be part of the crowd that can get an exclusive glimpse at the three Chronographs. Two of the Carrera Speed timepieces are Calibre 16 41mm Chronographs, with another 43mm Chronograph championed at the exclusive launch.
The 43mm Carrera Festival of Speed Edition Chronograph comes with an anthracite dial, two vertical red stripes to match the red stitching in the strap, and white outline finishing the touches to the anthracite dial.
The two 41mm Carrera Calibre 16 Chronographs come with an identical strap and only the “Starburst” anthracite dial differs in decorum within the watch face. White and red are mixed and match horizontally and vertically to display the racing livery of your choice on your wrist. There are 250 timepieces available for each edition. While the Calibre 16 Goodwood Editions are expected to retail for around US $6,000, the more distinctive 43mm timepiece will go for nearly a grand more.
The watches are fair complement to the Festival of Speed, and motoring fortnight in general. The sleek black carbon-fiber type looks blend in nicely with the unassuming ambiance of North England motorsport fanaticism, and they’ll be a safe bet to find their way to the hospitality suites at the newly one year old executive facility at the Silverstone circuit. Perhaps appropriately for Private Jet, the next round of the Formula One calendar, that traditionally find itself surrounded with TAG Heuer’s traditional glitz and glamour, takes place on Silverstone’s reconverted airfield.
