Hawthorne FBO at Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP) Open for 2012
Private jet travel into New York City just got easier for 2012 onwards, as Hawthorne Global Aviation have been proud to announce their management of a Fixed Base Operation at Long Island MacArthur Airport with short road and helicopter distances into the New York grid.
“For travelers from Europe, the Middle East and beyond, our private jet terminal at Islip is the smart alternative to other airports in this area that are congested and expensive,” said President & CEO Steven Levesque in a Hawthorne press release. Hawthorne has South Caroline roots, operating since 1932, but a private equity shot in the arm of late last year allowed the creation of Hawthorne Global Aviation to expand the management’s interests into cosmopolitan cities like New York.
Although the FBO is already currently the largest general aviations booking facility for private jet travel on Long Island, Hawthorne is not sleeping on developing further for larger clientele with bigger demands. General plans to expand hangar and office space to 32,000 square feet are already underway at the MacArthur Airport FBO, with Hawthorne eager to point out their ability to accommodate private airliners as big as Boeing Business Jets and super mid-size and long-flight jets like Gulfstream’s new G6. It is thought that Hawthorne will compete on driving down fuel prices in order to chip pieces off highly congested traffic in neighbouring sites, promising the “most competitive fuel prices in the New York Metro area”. Full concierge services, crew lounge rooms, access to the Long Island expressway, helicopter transport to the Hamptons and free high speed Internet are all provided with a Part 145 repair and maintenance facility.
Hawthorne can be reached for more information and reservations on 631-931-7102 and at www.hawthorne.aero
